Located at 1401 Gateway Blvd, Joliet, IL 60431, Red Lotus Asian Kitchen operates as a pan-asian restaurant serving Joliet in Illinois. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
This group covers Japanese, Korean, Thai, Vietnamese, Indian and other Asian cuisines that are not Chinese, and the etiquette varies by kitchen. Japanese and Korean restaurants often take reservations for dinner and may add a service charge for large groups; Thai and Vietnamese spots are usually walk-in and quick-turnover. Spice levels are frequently adjustable on request at Thai, Indian and Sichuan-adjacent menus, so say if you want it mild or hot. Korean BBQ restaurants typically charge per person for all-you-can-eat service with a time limit, and grills are shared at the table. Vietnamese pho shops post bowl sizes (regular or large) and a plate of herbs, bean sprouts and lime is normal to add yourself. Card and tap-to-pay are widely accepted; cash-only is more common at small family-run counters.

Absolutely love Red Lotus! The food is always fresh, hot, and full of flavorโdefinitely some of the best around. The customer service is amazing, and the staff always make you feel welcome from the moment you walk in. Service is super fast without sacrificing quality, which is hard to find! Huge shoutout to Tumi, Cassidy, and Micailyn for making every experience so great. Theyโre friendly, attentive, and always go above and beyond. Highly recommend Red Lotus if you want delicious food and top-notch service!

Ok first thing to note. This is not a nice sit down restaurant that you bring a date to. It is a place to go if you want a quick bite, everything is served in to go containers and eat with plastic utensils. I think alot of people are confused because the sign and logo are so nice they think they are walking into a restaurant with servers and nice plates and high end stuff but it is far from it. You order from kiosks and the menu is extremely limited. I believe its a total of 4 appetizers and 4 entrees available. I went with the fried pork dumplings which seemed like they had been fried hours before and microwaved. Next i went with the beef fried rice.. then the employee says they are out of beef so im stuck with chicken and omg i dunno what kind of recipe this place is using but the chicken was white like it had been boiled and had ZERO flavor, bland and gross. The fried rice is mixed with egg, onion, and no seasonings. They need a total revamp of the recipes and cooks need more training. I tried giving this place a shot even with all the bad reviews previously and i regret it.

At best looks like a casual lounge. All food is served in carryout containers creating too much waste especially when tables are provided and they could service tables. I and two others stopped by to try out their dinner service. We ordered mains and appetizers. One of the guys only ate the vegetable dishes. All three of us received stomach issues into the following day. Best item was the General Tso's. The food looks & tastes processed. Use those good credits elsewhere. At a newer casino, food should not be this bad.

Meh. I tried 2 dishes. $17.00 (including tax & tip) for the Wonton Noodles. Not worth the price. Tast like Ramen noodles you buy at the store and the wontons were gummy. Ordered the Vegetable Egg Rolls. $8.78. They were super small! You get 4 to an order for $8.00; they were finger sized food at best, plus they were burnt and greasy. ๐ (See photo) I usually try to give restaurant a couple of chances before I write a review. I'll try a couple more dishes (they don't have that many) and will update my review if it's a better experience. So far, C-.
